Research Comment* Their son Wilson Edwards was born 02 Jan 1804. Thus, numerous researchers conclude that 'Wilson' is the maiden name for James Edwards' first wife Elizabeth. To date, this researcher has located no evidence that Elizabeth's maiden name was Wilson.3 
Death*23 January 1818Elizabeth (?) died 23 January 1818 probably in North Carolina.3
